How Video Controls Plus Works, in Six Steps
Six steps, from your first video to your account. A short walk through what Video Controls Plus does. You can leave at any step.
How it works
- Control any video. Change the speed from 0.1x to 16x, loop a part from A to B, raise the volume up to 400% and add filters. It works on any site with a standard video, in Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Speed control needs no account. The other controls work once you connect one.
- The widget and your keys. The widget sits on the video: your speed up front, and tabs for the A-B loop, audio, filters and tools. Letter and digit shortcuts start with Ctrl + Alt. Ctrl + Alt + H hides or shows the widget. Give any shortcut another key in Settings, and it tells you if that key is already taken.
- Extras on YouTube, Netflix and LinkedIn. On Netflix it skips intros and recaps after the delay you choose. When Netflix hides its own controls, Video Controls Plus gives you keyboard controls. YouTube and LinkedIn get extras of their own, listed on the Features page.
- Notes, screenshots and your library. Take timestamped notes on a video and find them all on the Notes page of this website. Screenshots you upload, bookmarks, Watch Later and collections are saved to your account. Open your notes, bookmarks, Watch Later and collections from the widget's Tools tab, under Your library.
- AI and Speak. Summarize a YouTube video from the popup, and get writing help on LinkedIn. With Speak, say a note instead of typing it, up to 2 minutes. Nothing is saved until you confirm it. AI runs come from your plan each day, or from your own OpenAI or Anthropic key with no limit from us.
- Connect the extension to your account. Sign in on this website with Google, then press "Connect to your account" in the extension's popup. The popup and the website show the same short code. Press Connect there to link this browser. Every feature is on every plan. Pro and Team raise the daily AI runs and the AI level.
