Download Center — Video Controls Plus | Manuals & Assets
The Video Controls Plus download center is a single page collecting every offline-friendly resource the project ships: the printable user manual (PDF), the keyboard-shortcut cheat sheet (PDF), the brand assets pack (logos in SVG and PNG), the icon pack (256+ icons used inside the extension), wallpapers (4K), and the import/export templates for notes, collections, and learning paths. Everything is free and uses an open license — CC-BY-4.0 for documentation and assets, MIT for templates and code samples — so you can include them in tutorials, reviews, or derivative tools without asking.
Use cases
Printing the user manual for offline reading
A 28-page PDF that mirrors the docs site. Useful for users who prefer paper or who study without internet access.
Keyboard cheat sheet at your desk
A one-page PDF formatted for printing. Tape it to the side of your monitor for the first month of use.
Reviewing or featuring the project
Bloggers, podcasters, and YouTube reviewers can grab the brand assets pack — logo files, screenshots, demo GIFs — without emailing the maintainer.
Using the icon pack in your own app
The 256+ icons are open-licensed. Use in tutorials, blog illustrations, or even your own app as long as you keep the attribution line.
How it works
- Pick a resource. PDF manual, cheat sheet, brand assets, icon pack, wallpapers, or import/export templates.
- Download. Each resource is a direct download — no email gate, no signup. Larger packs (icon pack, brand assets) are ZIPs.
- Read the license. CC-BY-4.0 for docs/assets, MIT for templates/code. The license file is included in every ZIP.
- Use freely. Embed in tutorials, sample code, or commercial work. Attribution is appreciated but not required for fair-use cases.
Examples
- A blogger writing a Video Controls Plus review. Downloads the brand assets ZIP, uses the SVG logo in the post header, embeds three screenshots from the assets folder.
- A teacher printing materials for a class. Prints the PDF manual and the keyboard cheat sheet for each student; copyright allows print and redistribute under CC-BY-4.0.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use the logo in my YouTube video about Video Controls Plus?
Yes. CC-BY-4.0 covers the brand assets — keep the attribution line in your description and you are good.
Are the icons attribution-free?
They use CC-BY-4.0 like the rest of the brand pack. Attribution is required for derivative works but trivial — one line in the credits is enough.
Where is the source code?
On GitHub. The "Source code" link on /about points at the repository.
Are these resources updated?
On every major version bump. Each resource shows its last-updated date in the file name and inside the file.
Why are the wallpapers 4K?
Default wallpaper resolution for modern monitors. Resize down for older displays without quality loss.
Are import/export templates documented?
Yes — each template ZIP includes a README with the field schema and an example.
Tips
- Print the cheat sheet on day one of using the extension; muscle memory comes faster with a paper reference at the desk.
- For tutorials, the brand assets pack already includes a "demo GIF" that shows the speed/loop/boost workflow — saves you a recording step.
- For derivative work, attribute as "Video Controls Plus by Ahsan Mahmood (CC-BY-4.0)" — the canonical attribution string.
- Re-download after a major version bump; the manual and cheat sheet refresh on the same cadence as the extension.
Limitations
- Brand assets are CC-BY-4.0; the maintainer does not grant exclusive licenses or extended trademark rights.
- The icon pack is curated for the extension; it is not a general-purpose icon set and may have gaps.
- PDFs are English only; translation contributions are welcome via GitHub.
