Now the most popular features are one click away, right where you're watching.

No Context Switching

The quick actions menu appears directly on the floating controls. You don't need to:

  • Leave the video
  • Open new tabs
  • Navigate settings menus

Toggle a feature and keep watching.

Visual Feedback

Each action shows an instant notification confirming what happened:

  • "Audio Boost: ON (200%)"
  • "Night Mode: ON"
  • "Loop: OFF"

No guessing whether your action worked.

How to Use Quick Actions

  1. Scroll past the video - The floating control bar appears
  2. Click "More" - The quick actions menu opens
  3. Select any action - It toggles immediately
  4. Menu closes automatically - Continue watching

The menu also closes if you click anywhere else on the page.

Feature Details

Audio Boost (200%)

Perfect for quiet videos or low laptop speakers. This toggles Video Controls Plus's audio boost feature to 200% gain.

When to use:

  • Podcast with low audio levels
  • Lecture recordings
  • Videos where speakers are far from the microphone

Note: Very loud videos at 200% may clip. Reduce if you hear distortion.

Night Mode

Applies warm color temperature and reduced brightness to the video. Easier on your eyes, especially at night or in dark rooms.

What changes:

  • Colors shift warmer (orange tint)
  • Brightness reduces slightly
  • Blue light decreases

When to use:

  • Late night viewing
  • Dark room watching
  • Sensitive eyes

Loop Video

Makes the current video loop continuously. Great for:

  • Music videos on repeat
  • Ambient content
  • Language learning (repeat phrases)
  • Exercise routines

Click again to disable looping.

Screenshot

Captures the current video frame and saves it. The screenshot:

  • Uses the video's native resolution
  • Saves as PNG format
  • Downloads to your default folder

Pro tip: Pause the video first for the sharpest capture.

Grayscale

Converts the video to black and white. Useful for:

  • Reducing visual distraction
  • Creating artistic effect
  • Old film aesthetic

Click again to return to color.

  • You've manually toggled it with Ctrl+Shift+V

It won't show while the video is visible in your viewport.

Actions Not Working?

Some actions require the video element to be connected:

  • Make sure a video is playing on the page
  • Refresh the page if issues persist
  • Check that Video Controls Plus is enabled on this site

Menu Won't Close?

Click anywhere outside the menu. It's designed to close on any outside click.

Conclusion

The Quick Actions menu transforms the floating control bar from basic playback controls into a feature-rich command center. Audio boost, night mode, screenshots, and more - all one click away while you watch.

Try it now: Scroll down on any video page to make the floating controls appear, then click "More" to explore.
